120 How Can There Be Such a Love?

(Port. S-33)

1. How can there be such a love?

Jesus laid down His life for me.

Love I did not deserve,

What to give in return?

Gave His life as an off'ring to burn.

2. Transformation, within me,

He has begun, I can feel it now!

A new man, He made me,

Conquered all of my being.

In His arms now I rest safely.

Grace and mercy freely given

I enjoy at last!

What delight, what joy in Jesus,

Now my heart can rest.

I will lean on my Lord

And my being outpour,

Consecrate more today than before!

3. In Him I'll have fellowship

And hear His voice deep within my heart.

As I'm filled with His life,

I am thus satisfied;

All my being is saved and supplied.

4. I will be one with His will;

No longer can I remain apart.

Such a love I'll confess

And the Lord will express,

So that His Kingdom is manifest!

Grace and mercy freely given

I enjoy at last!

What delight, what joy in Jesus,

Now my heart can rest.

I will lean on my Lord

And my being outpour,

Consecrate more today than before!
