99. This World is Not My Home

1. This world is not my home, I’m just a passing through;

My treasures are laid up somewhere beyond the blue.

By calling on the Lord, oh how my spirit soars,

And I can’t feel at home in this world any more.

Oh Lord, You know, I have no friend like You,

My treasures are laid up somewhere beyond the blue.

By calling on the Lord, oh how my spirit soars,

And I can’t feel at home in this world any more.

2. The follies of this world led me to sin and woe.

The Savior pardoned me, with Him I onward go;

I know He’ll take me through though I am weak and poor,

And I can’t feel at home in this world any more.

Oh Lord, You know, I have no friend like You,

My treasures are laid up somewhere beyond the blue.

By calling on the Lord, oh how my spirit soars,

And I can’t feel at home in this world any more.

3. The glitter of this world is all just empty lies,

There’s nothing it can give that really satisfies.

In service to my Lord, I'm answering His call,

For since I’ve seen His worth, to Him I give my all.

Oh Lord, You know, I have no friend like You,

My treasures are laid up somewhere beyond the blue.

By calling on the Lord, oh how my spirit soars,

And I can’t feel at home in this world any more.

4. The Lord is my delight, to Him my heart I give;

I’m following His will, the kingdom life I’ll live.

The riches of the Christ with all the world I’ll share,

I’m seeking to please Him, His coming is my prayer.

Oh Lord, You know, I have no friend like You,

My treasures are laid up somewhere beyond the blue.

By calling on the Lord, oh how my spirit soars,

And I can’t feel at home in this world any more.
